Venus Combustion : Until Sept. 17; Exact August 14th
Venus is combust or hidden behind the Sun now until Sept. 17th and as it moves closer to the Sun it loses energy and can create fatigue and imbalanced emotions for Libras and Taurus rising in particular but may impact many others. Venus combustion can raise jealousy issues so remember to praise and appreciate others at this time, help them, applaud their success and good fortune. This conjunction can also lead to manipulative energy in relationships, cause annoyances, friction and problems so remember to accept people with all their imperfections or you will likely be seething with anger. Venus is 3 degrees from the Sun now which is quite intense and does move beyond the critical 3 degree area until August 28th and Venus is considered combust within 10 degrees so the combustion is still running until Sept. 27th.
While combustion is one of the most damaging things for a planet in Vedic astrology, it turns out total combustion within the last degree is a blessing. The exact conjunction of the Sun with Venus can be a really good thing and is called Cazimi and comes from medieval astrology and is used to refer to planets that are so close to a conjunction with the Sun that they are “in the heart” of the Sun. They actually become energized by the Sun and their most positive qualities come out. We will see this on August 11-August 18th when the combustion is within 1 degree. Opray Winfrey has this star-studded energy in her natal chart.
Venus Cazimi should be a great period for creativity, artistic development and love. It may increase socializing, luxuriating, going out for fun and amusement. If you are a woman, it may create incredible magnetism and make you Queen for a day and you will attract men more easily. It’s a good day to hit the drawing board if you are an artist. This fulcrum point will last just 3-4 day this year and then the problem issues with Venus combust returns so be sure to watch the transit degree points after August 18th.
Taurus and Libra rising signs in Vedic astrology may continue to experience intense fatigue as the Sun moves toward Venus so get extra rest and watch over-eating or zoning out watching too many movies or you will get exhausted. Take care of the reproductive organs as problems can happen during this transit. If you are feeling friction, take a walk and get out the house rather than get into battle with your partner.
The best outlet for Venus frustrated energy during combustion periods would be to do some wild dancing, take a craft class, sing loudly with the radio turned up or go on a wild shopping spree or create a massive artistic.
