REVIEW: THE IMPACT OF SATURN/KETU/PLUTO IN SAGITTARIUS BY RISING SIGN.

IMPACT OF PLUTO/SATURN/KETU IN SAGITTARIUS BY RISING SIGN OR MOON SIGN

By Barry Rosen

Our premise is that Pluto has been working for the past 12 years on transforming the house connected in your chart to Sagittarius.  As Saturn moves toward a conjunction with Pluto and Ketu, it will trigger the deepest and last transformational energies that are needed to complete difficult and long-standing influences from the past 12 years. Saturn also tends to show the results of its transits in the last 10 degrees of the transit which has started again on Sept. 27th and will last until January. The Pluto/Saturn conjunction is within about 6 degrees now and the final battle will be felt with the exact peak into January 12, 2020.

Saturn/ Ketu are starting to separate and by Oct 15th will be 3 degrees apart in the true node system and are at least in different padas and that influence will start to wane.  Time to review what you have learned from Saturn/Ketu over the last 7 months it has  triggered the energy and force us to let go of old belief structures and to change the way we do things.

Pluto has been in Sagittarius since 2006 and will completely leave by the end of 2020.  The issues have been up for the past 12 years and they are wanting to complete now and Saturn/Ketu will hasten any transformation that has not yet completed.

Of course, transits are secondary to the dasha that you are running and many other factors. These are some general guidelines below.

SAGITTARIUS RISING OR MOON:

These next two years will be a time to reshape and transform those aspects of your personality that you are not happy with and to reshape and transform your deep unconscious patterns that are no longer useful and causing problems.

If you have been controlling in relationships you will have to recognize the difficulty of this energy and transform it, get in touch with the deep fears that are causing you to exercise control and spoil your relationships. You will have to control primal sexual urges, power trips and self-aggrandizement and learn to be humble. Turn to spirituality and the occult and healing if you are to regenerate old and useless patterns.  Any physical transformations around how you look and dress will come up strongly this year as you might think that a change of hair or clothing will help any self-loathing but the transformation for Self-love has to some from within.

SCORPIO  RISING OR MOON:

Continue to complete the long process of re-evaluating finances that began in the late 2007-10 time-framework and reevaluate your needs around possessions; get rid of clutter and clean up past debt. Surrender to the changes in world finance and learn to modernize and streamline the way you handle money, save it and receive it. As this transit completes, get ready for new sources of income and a new attitude about money. Study personal finance with some of the financial wizards like Suze Orman, turn to the spiritual and realize the illusion of the material world, and what you thought was your existence can quickly change with a new governmental law or a natural disaster. You are always taken care of but find the wisdom in transformation. Saturn/Ketu may trigger unexpected surprises around surprises so save extra money and do not overspend to handle them.

LIBRA  RISING OR MOON :

We are dealing with third house transits of malefics here which does not mean there are not problems but more energy to deal with them. The third house is also connected to primal energies of survival, reproduction and protecting one’s territories so the intensity of this transit may bring up deep sexual, survival and aggressive patterns to transform.

Saturn/Pluto/Ketu here will ask you to complete long-term issues with neighbors, old enemies, siblings, and fighting for your territory. You will need to let go of old belief structures around them and bring the repressed psychological tensions up to the surface to transform. You may not be wrong about your positions but it is time to let go of the drama of the past 12-13 years and find new ways to make friends and bury the hatchet.  Stretch out your hand first and rid the nagging mind of who is right and let go of the old energy blocking you from love.

VIRGO RISING OR MOON:

The fourth house is the mind, your security and the relationship with your mother and nurturing and your physical home. Family life may be disrupted by health issues, power struggles. This has been going on for some time but a culmination will happen and you will be asked to let go of old ways of doing things and beliefs about family life and your domestic situation. It is possible that major changes will be needed to your home to force you to evaluate and transform the deeper underlying issues around security, protection and safety. You may desire a change of residence or consider changes in your relationship and family situation.  If you have any remaining issues with your mother, they will come up to be healed and use the energy for letting go of any resentment, anger or regrets about the past.  The mind will remain unsettled this year and search for peace so take up meditation and yoga and self-development work to make those changes.

PART 2

LEO RISING OR MOON:

The fifth house is a place of deep enthusiasm for what we enjoy most in life and this can be investments, spiritual practice, romance, expression in the arts or relationships with our children. The key to this house is creative self-expression when you are feeling stuck so when Saturn/Ketu are creating tension, release it by taking up a new hobby, getting into theatre, taking an art class. If you have had difficult relationships with your children the last 12 years, there should be some climax in the relationship and this will be difficult but ultimately will lead to something greater and different as Pluto will move out the 5th house in 2021 and lead to new relationships with them. Move away from power struggle with them and let them be, and realize you have just brought them into the world but they have their own life and karma.

CANCER RISING OR MOON:

The key to the sixth house is the discipline to take care of our health and to protect our territory from our co-workers. If you have had long-lingering issues, the next year should bring a climax here but it may first trigger a new crisis to force you to move to a deeper level of self-care: it is time to adopt regular exercise and yoga practices, control your diet, find new healers and nutritionists to complete the transformation needed in your body for excellent health and time to transform addictive patterns and move into a new state. A crisis may get triggered to force you to a new level. The sixth house is also everyday work, and if you have felt stuck at your job over the past 12 years, the Saturn/Ketu/Pluto energy may force you to make changes at work, stand up to your boss for a raise, or put your troubling co-workers in their place. If you have been in the process of changing positions, jobs or careers, use the energy and disruptions to make the needed changes for better health and happiness.

GEMINI RISING OR MOON:

The seventh house is the house of relationship and business partnership and medium trips. If you have been working on transforming your relationship or business partnership, the Saturn/Ketu/Pluto climax will force letting go of old patterns and resolving unconscious tensions and releasing them for the better. If you cannot transform them, then they may not survive. Any uncompleted energies from the past 12 years will up for completion. There may be a lot of emotional intensity in relationship that seems out of control and it may require counseling to get through the butting of heads. You are going to have to complete it yourselves but use a therapist as a referee. If you have a vindictive relationship, it could turn into the war of the roses so watch out for nasty or unexpected strikes and head them off by working on them early.

TAURUS RISING OR MOON:

The eighth house transits are the most difficult but if you can get through them then resurrection and a big change of life will come. Death to those close around you may trigger may inspire you to embrace life or if the energy is too dark to be caught in despair and depression. Turn to spirituality and meditation during these difficult times to support you in understanding the mysteries of life and death. If there is money through partnership or inheritance, it may get complicated this year but should resolve by the year’s end. If it has been a long battle over the past 10-12 years, it should finally resolve by early 2020 with Saturn in Capricorn and Jupiter entering on Nov. 2019.

ARIES RISING OR MOON:

The ninth house represents our belief structure which often can take form through organized religion. Your beliefs may be shattered by scandals and may be forced to adapt and this may seem like a crisis. The Saturn/Ketu/Pluto conjunction of 1517 in Sagittarius forced Martin Luther to publish his heretical document and start the reformation. It is time to turn to new mystical and occult philosophies to soothe the transition. A spiritual pilgrimage to a foreign country may help but given the craziness of this conjunction, at least wait until November or December for things to settle down. Saturn/Ketu will force you to breakdown your outmoded belief structures and look for new ways of seeing the world and so be open to change and transcending your limiting beliefs. Given the peodophile scandals with the Catholic church, we have to think that the new revelations here will lead to major cleansing that are much needed.

PISCES RISING OR MOON:

The tenth house represents our quest for status, recognition and acknowledgement. The past 12 years with Pluto in Sagittarius may have led to great elevation and making your mark in your profession. If it has not happened yet, the next few years can bring it if you transform yourself appreciation and not look for others to bring it. You may be tempted to change jobs again to look for that recognition but it will be difficult with Saturn/Ketu as Ketu makes you go unnoticed and Saturn requires hard work and may not lead to recognition. Be cautious about being ruthless if you hold a position of power at work as Saturn/Ketu may lead to a fall from status. Often dictators or bullies can be brought down by this combination if they have let power overcome their sense of responsibility to the people as has been the case in Venezuela or with other dictators.  Remember to stay in the trenches with your employees and workers when it gets tough and support them and they will support you

AQUARIUS RISING OR MOON:

This is the completion of an important eleventh house transit which can bring fulfillment of desire if you do not get caught up in holding onto old beliefs. If you have been involved in humanitarian movements and social groups wanting change, there will be a climax this year. You may decide that the ideals you were pursuing are getting blow up by problems and politics in your group. You will need to reach out and make new friends and find new groups and causes as the Saturn/Ketu/Pluto energy will force major changes and shifting.    Old friends may suddenly disappear or you may need to reach out for others but avoid those seeking power and out of balance.

CAPRICORN RISING OR MOON:

Twelfth house transits are the most difficult and they require surrender and deep psychic transformation and getting rid of old garbage and old belief structures that are so deeply buried you may not see them without a crisis bubbling up around mental health, conflicts in foreign countries or even rethinking of your sacrificial relationship for your family as twelfth house is about sacrifice. Relationships with charitable and service organizations that you have been involved in will be up for revaluation. You may be forced to confront saboteurs in the workplace or other secret enemies that try to take you down and this may finally end a deep difficult episode that has been going on for the past 12 years.  Whatever develops, it will be important to confront your deepest and hidden unpleasant aspects of your life now, if you are to be free. With Saturn going into Capricorn in January 2020, you will finally be home after the past 12 years of difficult psychological transformation.

Kasanati Nakshatra, Vedic Astrologer

Barry Rosen has made a valuable contribution to understanding how houses act in hidden ways in a Vedic chart, and his explanations and process are logical and easy to follow. This ranks with the Uttara Kalamrita as a book which reveals the incredible density of meaning contained in the houses in a Vedic chart, which are the most important part of chart interpretation from my perspective. Excellent work-

Dr. Gary Gomes, President Emeritus, CVA.

The deepest purpose of astrology should allow us to see the Maya or illusion that runs through our mind and blocks us from seeing our own Divinity. Astrology should reveal our hidden patterns and not just affirm what we know about our self already. It is our hidden patterns and blind spots which get us into the most trouble and cause us the most suffering. It takes courage to look at them, bring them into the light and transforms them but that is why we are on the planet. It is much like Bill Murray in Ground Hog Day (1993). How many times do we have to repeat our lives and relive our pain or do we realize our flaws and actively work on them and transform ourselves into a more conscious and active and loving and compassionate person. In this brilliant collection of essays divided into 4 sections, Psychological and Emotional and Spiritual Dimensions of Vedic Astrology, Secrets of the Houses, Spiritual Astrology and Advanced Techniques in Vedic Astrology, Barry reveals material beyond the ordinary in unveiling our True Self beyond the illusion.    The great spiritual teacher Yogananda was fond of saying that  most of what we call the spiritual battle is really a psychological battle and once that battle is won, the spiritual battle is a short one.  This book aims to support you in deep spiritual growth with profound psychological insight.

Barry’s spiritual and psychological approach to astrology seeks to cut the puppet strings of the planets that impact our emotions and psychology and bind us to self-blame, doubt and fear, and anger.  This useful guide will help you navigate your life.
