SUN IN CAPRICORN JAN 14-FEB 12TH– SUCCESS IN HARD WORK

EYE ON THE SKY:   SUN IN CAPRICORN: JANUARY 14 – FEBRUARY 12

Sun enters Capricorn: January 14th at 15:37 EST

The Sun moves into Capricorn on January 14th, and and then will be joined by Saturn  on Jan 24th.  It is a mixed transit and while the Sun does well with  work, it is still in an enemies sign and it can create friction with government and bosses and father/son relationships and can impact health in a negative way.  Still the period of from Jan. 21-25 is auspicious in the constellation of Abhijit (approx. Capricorn 6.40-11.13) where the blessings of Lord Brama and great success can manifest.

That is because there  is a hidden constellation in the zodiac called Abhijit (located at 6.40-11.13 Capricorn) which is considered one of the most auspicious stars and is the mysterious 28th nakshatra of the zodiac. In the Western astronomical traditions, it is know as Vega and the Sun transits through there for 5 days Jan. 21-25th.

Komilla Sutton notes that Abhijit means victorious and conquering completely and is connected to Brahma, the creator and also to Vishnu the preserver. It is a star where the individual can write their own destiny.  One can preserve the old and create something new.  This constellation is very powerful and gives one spiritual drive and the ability to want to win regardless of circumstances.  It is ruled by the Sun and it supports leadership during its transit in the  constellation Jan 20th in the afternoon until January 25th.

Saturn and Sun are enemies and having them both together in  Capricorn may contribute to health issues for Leos with this 6th house transit and Capricorns are also vulnerable. The combustion of Saturn where it is hidden behind the Sun and not visible is also problematic until Jan. 30-31st.   Still there is a lot of power in Capricorn for the Sun to start new business endeavors and with hard work move toward success.

The Sun is afflicted in Capricorn and one may feel that one has not done enough, overworks, and this can create self-centeredness, skepticism, and lack of humor. It may lead to poor circulation, cold hands and feet and problems with the adrenals. This is a 6th house transit for Leos but the affliction may create too much fire energy or pitta so stay patient and cool down with coconut water. Be careful with getting into too much debt.

Aries does well the first few weeks of this transit with a 10th house transit of the Sun for recognition and possible promotion at work if other factors are present in your main dashas.  Scorpios also do well this transit as it is a 3rd house transit of the Sun promoting courage to move through challenges connected to work.   Aquarius rising may have the most trouble with this transit as it is a 12th house transit of the Sun and could lead to loss of status  or having a difficult time with relationships at work.  Remember to be humble at work and not fight with your boss.

Remember all transits are secondary to dashas and impact people in different ways. If you are running a Saturn/Sun or Sun/Saturn period you will be impacted by this transit more and if you are Leo, Capricorn or Aquarius Rising or Moon sign you may notice it more.  Also depending on how many Ashtakavarga points you have in Capricorn for the Sun, it will impact you differently.  As always, consult a professional Vedic astrology proper forecasts.

Dasha Predictive Techniques Levels 1 and 2: Getting it Right

Predicting through Vimshotari Dasha is quite an art and quite complicated. It actually governs more of how we feel about what is going on how we feel impacts what manifests and impacts mental realm of existence. The 10 alternative nakshatra dashas like Ashotarri and Shodashari also work in that way but we have to know when to choose the right one.

Often the Nakshatra that the dasha is placed in will have more of an influence on the period and there may be a difference in Mars periods depending if the Nakshatra involved is Chitra, Dhanishta or Mrigashira. KN Rao’s Chara Dasha is also much better at predicting tangible results and rotates around the signs of the zodiac and is a more useful and accurate way of getting good results for people. This 16 week course will cover the basics of Vimshottari dasha for four weeks but then will offer new depth and new techniques to get predictions more accurate using alternative dashas, Rashi Dashas and other techniques. One class will be offered on how to predict using 5 levels of dashas where the most manifest level of creation happens.
