EYE ON THE SKY:  VENUS IN CHITRA/SPICA OCT. 30-DEC 3RD.

Venus  moved into the constellation of Chitra on Oct. 30th  which is one of the constellations of the zodiac commonly know as Spica which lies in Virgo between 23.20 degrees and Libra 6.40 degrees.  It will stay there until the Dec 3rd . Chitra is one of the more material constellations and spans the end of Virgo into the beginning of Libra.  Chitra means brilliant or many-colored illusions.  Its symbol is a shining jewel or a pearl representing the mysterious creativity of the universe that can transform a grain of sand into a gem and work of art out of nothing.  The Venus/Mars combination will spark new passion and enthusiasm which will be welcome with the Sun still debilitated strongly (at its worst until Nov. 5th) and promote artistic creativity. It will also be a good energy for the Black Friday season coming up for holiday buying and we have already seen retailers rolling out Black November to get sales rolling early. Yes, Venus in Libra likes to buy and spend so the Christmas season should go well with Venus in Libra until Jan. 2nd.

The constellation is ruled by Tvastar, the celestial architect also know as Vishwakarma, the creation worker.  His role is to create maya or the illusionary force of the drama of life. He is the grand illusion maker creating delightful things but has no attachment to what he creates, much  like modern scientists and technicians and engineers who fashion great devices that sometimes are used by the ruling elite or politicians in the wrong way.

The 4th Pada of Chitra (Libra 3.20-6.40) is owned by Scorpio and is a place where material illusion can be strong and this energy dominates until Nov 4th and again later in the month when Venus is direct Nov. 26-Dec. 3rd.  Intensity may require release and one could turn toward intoxicants as a way of letting go of inner turmoil. For spiritual aspirants this can happen with TV binging our eating too many sweets and for Venus than can take the form of strong sexual desire in order to release any inner pain.  Go into the emotion and transform it.   Pada 3 of Chitra is Vargottama and much stronger (Libra 0-3.20) and Venus will move strongly into relationship and passion again when Venus goes direct on Nov. 16th and the retrograde revaluations of Venus’s partners will suddenly sort themselves out.
