EYE ON THE SKY: TURNING POINTS
In financial astrology, when you have three major changes on any given day it often signals a turn in a market and focal point for emotional and psychological energy. Note even the day before this change, the stock market soared dramatically off of it lows on Thursday.
This is true with people. Today, Mercury is stationary/retrograde at 5:33 pm EST and Venus went stationary direct at 2:50 am EST this morning and the Sun goes into Scorpio at 8:01 am EST today. We have written about all of these during the past week but for people it may signal a focal point or pivot point for your life or starting something new or starting a new trend.
Stationary planets are very powerful as James Braha has noted. John F. Kennedy was born with a stationary Mercury in its exalted sign of Virgo for a Virgo rising. Donald Trump has a stationary Jupiter in Virgo in his 2nd house of wealth and family and came into his Presidential period at the beginning of his Jupiter dasha. Hence Venus and Mercury are very powerful today to produce their karaka values or house ownership values for your specific chart today and if you are in Venus or Mercury period or if you are Libra, Taurus, Gemini or Virgo, you might feel great power today.
Venus direct now allows complicated relationships issues that have been churning or in limbo to move forward with more concrete decisions. If you are thinking of making a change around relationship, then the energy is shifting for you to make that decision and move on or to stay the course.
Mercury going retrograde will hinder logical thinking and force us to rely more on intuitive thinking particularly if we have Mercury retrograde in our natal charts. For the next 3 weeks, get ready for communication delays and plan more time for writing projects and reports and computer programming as they will suddenly need more time. Do not expect that people heard what you thought you said or understand your instructions. See the humor in miscommunications and delays so that you do not blow up in rage or frustration and watch funny movies and comic sketches which are connected to Mercury in order to see the humor in life and the imperfections in human condition. We all have cracks in our existence but the cracks allow more light to come in–they are not flaws but imperfections that are perfect for our growth.
The Sun changing signs is not considered auspicious for starting new or important events today as it is void of course as our Western astrological friends would call it up to 0.40 minutes Scorpio which is about 11:30 pm CST today. The Sun is caught in a major move like a person moving into a new home where it is rather unsettled not having finished unpacking and is not sure where anything is. Give it a rest today.
So enjoy your turning points today. Get ready for shifts and stay out of the emotional grunge which is still rather intense with Saturn until Nov. 26th. Help the misplaced fire victims in California with donations and stay out of the negative media that wants you to feel that the world is a hopeless terrible place and make you depressed but the reality is that there are hundreds of millions of people doing hundreds of million wonderful things everyday but they are not bad news and are ignored. Find the energy and the courage to make a different on the planet with a random act of kindness like the pizza delivery man who drove 400 miles to get a dying cancer victim a wish fulfillment. Use the love and compassion of Venus today to make this a better world. Happy Friday!
