RAHU IN PUNARVASU/CASTOR AND POLLUX DEC 7-SEPT 27^TH  (True Node)

Rahu retrogrades back into the constellation of  Punarvasu (Gemini 20-Cancer 3.20)  which is know as Castor and Pollux, the beloved twins in Western astronomy. This will happen in the mean node system on   Jan. 4rd and in the true node system Dec. 7^th. Transits of Rahu through a constellation are major and often last 8-9 month.

Punarvasu means “the return of the light” and has the divine ability to bring spiritual light into darkness and it  reflects purity, satya (truth) and strong moral values.  It’s shakti or power is “the ability to gain wealth or abundance”. The main deity is Aditi, the Cosmic Mother, who bestows her creative abundance on all who seek her blessings. This lunar mansion is ruled by the planet Jupiter, the great benefic.

Rahu  in the constellation of Purnavasu until at least late September  (Gemini 20-Cancer 3.20) will connect it with Jupiter in Scorpio.  The universal mothering and nurturing qualities of  Purnarvasu will conflict with Rahu’s rebellious and attention seeking energy.  In general, Rahu/Jupiter combinations tend to increase fear around losing ones spouse for women, conflicts with Gurus, moving away from traditional forms or religion into alternative forms of spirituality.   Rahu is at odds with the Universal Mind and instead of working for the benefit of all, it can become selfish and self-centered and can utilize its self-centered energy to deceive and advance its own agenda.

This constellation provides nourishment  and nurturing before  the tough storms of Ardra (Gemini 6.40-20.00) which will start with Rahu in Ardra starting in the fall of 2019.   It creates contentment and grounding energy but sometimes lacks foresight which leads to complications and adventures.   If you were born with the Sun, Moon or Ascendent in this constellation, you have the qualities of a universal caregiver and are very generous.

The constellation is connected to the merchant caste and will support courage for business expansion   during its transit with  Rahu in Gemini  and should be good for the economy still through Sept. 2019. It will be Rahu in Ardra that will stir up more economic storms.

The transit through the first part of Cancer (0-3.20)  which happens in the true node system until March 23^rd in the mean node system until March  6^th .  This section  is a powerful part of the sky which is know as pushkara increasing creativity and overcoming obstacles.  Rahu is exalted in Gemini when it goes in there after March 7^th in the mean node system and after March 27^th in the true node system and does best in the Pada 3 (Gemini 26.40-30.00) and Rahu can operate here without conflict for the benefit of mankind.

The nature of Rahu in Punarvasu in Cancer is positively influenced by the moon and Jupiter and can use its creativity to benefit the world.  In the last pada of Gemini is it is powerful also but still may be too caught up in the material realm and advancing technology. Would think that technological advances will be strong through August 2019 with lots of advancement in technology on the drawing board but the manifestation of these may come later.   Rahu will need to balance its material success with spirituality through yoga, meditation and other disciplines to stay balanced.
