EYE ON THE SKY: MANAGING THE MARS/SATURN/RAHU/KETU/MERCURY MESS
Mars will oppose Saturn exactly into June 14th and it will be felt most on Tuesdays ruled by Mars and Saturdays ruled by Saturn so June 11th, 18th and 15th are more intense than usual. Ketu and Rahu are also conjunct the complex into June 14-16th and Mercury is conjunct Mars into June 18th and opposed by Saturn on June 16th. We have not seen anything like this since 1997 and before that into 1962. The offsetting positive energies are that Saturn and Ketu are in Jupiter’s sign of Sagittarius and is a benefic and in Venus’s nakshatra of Purvashadha (Sag. 13.20-26.40) and Mars and Rahu and Mercury will be in Jupiter’s nakshatra of Purnavasu. So while this complex is very messy, it will have the Divine grace of the benefics behind it to preventing catastrophe. Health issues will be up for Capricorns, Sagittarius, Geminis, Scorpios, Aries and probably Taurus so this is a week to get to bed early, avoid addictive behaviors, do your meditation and yoga and help others out in need. If we are on top of spiritual practice then everything is easier. Have to avoid over-eating or doing things that are not good for you when the emotional grunge is up and you want to stay up 1/2 the night binging on Netflix or eating that extra cheesecake.
Watch out for the other guy while driving and stay alert as people are more reckless on the road so no multi-tasking in the car. People are texting, eating, listening to music while driving and you have to be extra alert through June 21st.
Saturn is weak in transit also and reckless and the opposition to Mars will be a bit more intense than usual. I am ruled by Mars and I banged my head on a window on Friday climbing into may house when the door lock broke and that rarely happens. It reminds me of my favorite police drama from the early 80’s, Hill Street Blues where the morning sergeant always ends the meetings with “You all be safe out there, ya hear.” So slow down and do not be reckless the next week to prevent accidents. Watch Wednesdays, Saturdays and Tuesdays, ruled by Mercury, Mars and Saturn or if you are running a Mars or Saturn or Rahu or Ketu period or some combination of the above period or have a Mars/Saturn opposition in your chart . Most of the signs will be vulnerable with maybe Leo and Libra and Pisces having the least vulernability. Full Moon in Gemini on June 17th-18th in Sagittarius will amplify all of those energies.
The tendency is for anger and frustration to bubble up and you may snap at people. Resentment may flow through the mind. Delays and obstacles and indecision may bubble up. Don’t rush around like an rabbit as this can create mistakes. Move like a royal elephant the next few weeks. You will probably see more accidents and fires and terrorism in the news. Sagittarius is a seat of religious fundamentalism and the energy focused there will bubble up. The 1776 US natal chart also has Mars in Gemini so we can expect some major events. The media, connected to Gemini and communications will probably go into warp drive this weekend with it all happening.
Stay on top of your meditation and yoga and spiritual practices to stay even and grounded. Go easier and slower and be more patient and aware to avoid accidents and angry flare-ups. Give people the benefit of mistakes that happen and be forgiving rather than fly off the handle. This is a 2-week period to practice mindfulness and observe what is happening in the mind and body and to stay balanced and not over-react. Find away to laugh at situations and practice patience. If you do not stay on top of sleep, if you indulge in bad habits that are not good for you, if you are not mindful, it may seem rough and frustrating.
So be carefully out there, slow down, watch the anger and find away to channel the energy positively into exercise, positive action and service.
