EYE ON FINANCIAL ASTROLOGY: SECRETS OF DONATIONS
Below is a summary of part of my talk from the United Astrology Conference on the Secrets of Charity and Donations:
Yesterday we discussed how our weak planets are there and why we are here on the planet in order to do a better job and make them stronger and work on those issues. The easiest way to work on our weak planets is to donate to charities connected to our weak planets on days of the week connected to the weak planet. Therefore if you have a weak Mars then on a Tuesday, make donations to Veteran associations etc.
The key to increasing prosperity in your chart is always tithing and giving back to the universe. I learned this from my Dad when I was very young. We did not have very much but he always was giving to others in need and we always had great abundance because of it.
The nature of the universe is such that it is made up of consciousness. You can donate to current cause and impact your life directly and change the planetary frequencies of that which is blocking you. Â A good astrologer can see the actions that are misaligned from the past and then prescribe donations. So if you have a weak Mars, you may not have been a good soldier in past lives or learned the lessons of duty and service so donating to Veteran’s associations or police or firefighting groups may be a way to support that issue.
Donations are done for the significations of a planet. If you have caused some suffering in the past, then you have to directly help those are suffering to remedy the situation.  If you have trouble with your children or conceiving or have issues carrying a child during pregnancy, you may have not been a good parent in the past and if you donate to children’s organization and help children financially, then you are supporting your afflicted Jupiter. Or you may need to support medical charities that help sick children.
Note in the parentheses below, I suggest some the of common afflictions by house and sign or aspect– the list is not all inclusive. Please consult a professional astrologer to determine the nature of affliction. There are often cancellations and positive ways that planets are saved.
Some general guidelines: Â
1) Locate charities that are reputable and donate a majority of the money that they collect to the people who need it.
2) Donate on a weekly or monthly basis depending on how you pay your bills. Regularity is important.
3) Donate at least 3% of your income on an annual basis but more is always good.
4) Have a positive intention toward the planet in question and ask for forgiveness for the past karma that you have done by hurting people in the past.  We may not understand the past karma but if the weakness of the planet, you can get an idea.
5) Avoid being lazy about donations or doing it grudgingly because you have to. Do it with joy and gratitude. If we have money it is to help others. If we do not have money then we can donate time and service to organizations that help other and we can always give a little bit. It will always come back to you.
Here is a list of the types of charities that you donate to by planet:
SUN:  Paying others medical bills; donations to a temple; donation to bird protection organizations and those that protect large lions. (Affliction: Sun in Libra, Capricorn or Aquarius or connected to the 12th or 8th house or connected to Saturn or Rahu)
MOON: Helping your mother or women who care for children; donating to battered women or single mothers; helping those with depression or other mental disturbances; donating to water life protection.
(Affliction: Moon in Scorpio or Capricorn or Aquarius or connected to the 3rd 6th, 8th or 12th houses or afflicted by Mars, Rahu, Saturn)
MARS:Â Donating to brothers, veterans, the police, public safety, burn victims or fire victim, helping those going through divorce; helping those needing legal defense; donation to public land or parks.
(Affliction: Mars in Cancer, Aquarius or connected to the 8th or 12th house or afflicted by Saturn, Rahu, Mercury or even the Moon or Venus)
MERCURY; Helping cousins,, aunts, uncles and students; donations to schools, donations to books and other learning materials, paying for a poor child for school; donating to canine protection.
(Affliction: Mercury in Pisces or Aries or Scorpio or connected to the 12th house or associated withSaturn, Mars or Ketu)
JUPITER: Helping husbands, Gurus, priest; adopting a child; donations to teachers, humanitarian work; helping elephants and whales. Donating to children’s organizations.
(Affliction: Jupiter in Capricorn or Aquarius or connected to the 3, 6, 8 or 12th houses or afflicted by Saturn or Rahu)
VENUS:Â Donating to battered wives or other group; helping women get out of sex industry; helping individuals get married; supporting the arts or horses.
(Affliction: Venus in Virgo or Aries or Scorpio or connected to the 6th or 8th houses or afflicted by Saturn, Ketu, Mars)
SATURN: Helping employees, working classes, unions, elderly, sick, handicapped, the poor and homeless and reptile reproduction.
(Affliction: Saturn in Aries or Cancer or Leo or in most of the houses except the 3rd, 6th, or 11th house or associated with Ketu, Rahu, Mars or the Sun)
RAHU:Â Supporting Environmental protection, rehab, drug rehab; fighting fraud; cheating and pollution.
(Affliction:Â Rahu in Scorpio or Sagittarius or Cancer or Aries or connected to all houses except the 3rd, 6th and 10th and 11th and afflicted or connected by Mars or Saturn)
KETU: Donations to monks, nuns, ashrams, spiritual healers, yoga organizations, curing viral disease, breaking conspiracies and supporting fish and amphibians
(Affliction: Ketu in Taurus, Libra, Gemini or Virgo or Capricorn or Aquarius or connected to all houses except the 3rd, 6th or 11th or afflicted by the Saturn, Venus or Mars)
Choose the day of the week that the planet rules (ie Monday/Moon, Tuesday/Mars etc) to have the most powerful effect. It is thought that donating 3% of your monthly income is a good amount and that if take that amount and divide it into 4 portions for the month and give weekly, then you will have the max. impact.
I would also look for reputable charities as recent scandals show charities like the Red Cross only using 50% of the money that you donate for the actual cause. If you are very short of money, then better yet, do volunteer work for those organizations to personally mitigate the karma.
SECRETS OF DONATIONS
The more specific the faster the results. Freedom Cole in vol 2 of Science of Light discusses this and I paraphrase it below.
Venus aspected by Mars and Rahu may mean abusing a wife in a past life so give to battered women’s groups. If in Leo, then it could provide for organizations that empower abused women; in Cancer for organizations that counsel and nurture and support abused women.
If Mercury with Saturn could be donation for children born with mental retardation if Mercury with Saturn and Rahu then maybe for incurable genetic disorders like autism or Downs syndrome.
So you can get very creative with it and donating is always fun and releases karma. Â If you are in a difficult dasha or sub-period, than donating to the dasha or sub-lord chart will probably be helpful if it is causing the theme of the problem.
