ASTROLOGICAL WEATHER FORECAST: March 4-8th: Aggressive and Complicated

EYE ON THE SKY: FOCUS ON SUN AND MERCURY AND CONNECTIONS TO SATURN/MARS  –March 5-8th.

The Sun transits into a new constellation on Sunday which is know by Western astronomers as Pegasus (sidereal Aquarius 20-Pisces 3.20) and the in the Vedic lore is called Purvabhadrapada and stays there until March 18th.  The Sun connects with its friend Jupiter in this transit  by channeling the energy of Jupiter and bringing out comfort, enthusiasm, support, good advisory capacities, spiritual leadership and is a good combination for money and wealth.  The first pada of the transit, (March 5-8), the Sun is exalted and it allows people to work for others and remain true to oneself and to fight for what is right and maintain confidence.  The downside of this transit, particularly if you were born March 5-18th and have that natal configuration, is that you may be unsure of your spiritual path and that they have to trust the journey and stop questioning every part of the move.

Mercury transits into the same constellation March 6-12th and moves toward conjunction with the Sun into Monday, March 6th. This conjunction can  bring out mental busy-ness and craziness in the mind and increase nervous energy and lead to mismanagement of money, being too complicated or too clever.  They key here is to take action and fight for your causes and not just write or think about them.  Get out into battle.  Mercury channeling Jupiter’s energy supports speaking and writing and clear thinking and publishing and business skills but the combustion from being too close to the sun can lead to lazy thinking and missing opportunities so you have to use the strong Mars energy and just do it and move into action.

Sun/Saturn/Mars and Mercury are all clustered together in the D-9 in Aries navamsha on Sunday and bleeding a bit into Monday when Mars leaves and this  is going to create aggression, frustration, depression and over-assertiveness and imbalance. Sun conjunct Mercury increases mental confusion around this messy complex.   Stay calm, meditate, do not try to push hard, rest more or you will be a mental mess. Avoid getting into tirades and attacks and hostility as it will not end well.   The worse of it will lift on Monday but problems with authority, government and bosses can really flare up through March 8th.

Mercury will move into Pisces, its sign of debilitation March 11-26th and this year is not bad because Jupiter and Venus cancel it out. The worse part of the debilitation will be March 12-18th when it is in Saturn’s constellation so Virgos and Geminis have to stay rested and not burn the midnight oil. We will write a longer article about this next week.  Make sure to back up your computer this weekend before the conjunction and the move into Pisces.

So I wanted to give you a personal invite to my new course starting Sunday, April 9th.  It is about expanding our limited perspective of how we look at charts so that we not just caught up with our natal chart which is more of our physical world but we learn how to look at our mental, emotional, soul levels, life purpose, hidden talents, and how are chart changes in time and as we move to new locations.  I think it is something that is not taught enough.   I am offering a special March price of 199.00 (March is in like a Lion) through Sunday, March 5th and then the price goes up to 249.00 starting on March 15th.    I have written an article about the course and the article is attached in word if you have not read it before.

PART 2 : More on Purvabharapada Nakshatra: Sun and Mercury there March 5-18th

The symbols for this unique nakshatra are a sword, the first two legs of a funeral cot, and a two faced man. The sword represents the ability to cut through negativity to get to the truth. The two faced man indicates the ability to see both sides of an issue but also may be symbolic in Western psychology of our dark side or shadow   This nakshatra is ruled by the benefic Jupiter, which reflects the high idealism of this asterism but for a star ruled by Jupiter, it has an unusual dark quality to it.  On the positive side, this constellation teaches to lead a life of personal sacrifice with no expectation of glory. On the dark side it can bring out sexual obsessions and greedy power struggles. Luckily in transit, it will be channeling a strong Jupiter that is the auspicious star of Spica in Virgo and bring out the higher qualities.

The diety of this constellation obscure and is called Aja-Ekapada or the one-footed goat that is part of the entourage of Shiva and in Tarot it is connected to the devil card.  It is troubling that secret societies like the Illuminati consider the goat god their main deity and this constellation is connected with black magic.  On a symbolic level this is a constellation where the fires of Shiva can destroy those aspects of a decaying society.  Given the power struggles going on between George Soros, the CIA and our new President, we wonder what fireworks develop as planets transit through here the next few weeks. Certainly the continued leaks about cabinet members is stirring the pot.

For a constellation ruled by Jupiter, this star is connected with negative human traits including paranoia, pessimism, debauchery, violence, cruelty and erratic sexual behavior.  It is by far the most intense constellation in the zodiac. If you were born with the Sun here between March 5-17th or have the ascendent or moon here, the major lessons are learning humility and not getting caught in the ego.  If you are born under this star, it is important to get devoted to the light right away.   Still people in this constellation are sincere, hard-working and will do anything to achieve their goals. If course if Jupiter, the lord of this star, is well placed and strong in your natal chart like in Pisces or Sagittarius or Cancer or in strong houses like the 1st, 5th or 9th, the higher qualities of the star will emerge.  Often great artists are born under this star and  will use this dark energy to create great arts.  Still people born with this star will have extremes in sexual behavior that may be viewed by society as abnormal or out of the box.

So the energies of this star are intense.  They can lead us to penance, detachment and generosity and purification of our dark side.  It is the most Jekyll and Hyde constellation in the zodiac.  People born under this constellation may look well-mannered and acceptable on the outside but are they using their wealth and resources to benefit society?  Do they have secret sexual agendas in their closet?  Resist those temptations with this transit now as Mercury likes to play sexually and not be responsible and the Sun can get trapped also.

The highest aspect of this constellation is learning to purify our dark side and surrender our ego and find our highest calling for more service and philanthropic action.  Use the winter months with the planets going through here to move through your habits and addictions and become more devoted to the highest.

Jupiter transiting through the auspicious star of Spica (Chitra) should support the higher energies.

Special thanks to my teachers Komilla Sutton and Prash Trivedi for their insights on this constellation.
