The theme of the week is watching your anger in relationship, doing more spiritual service work, helping others to avoid ego and arrogance, and also balancing spiritual energy with more practicality.

Mercury moved into its own nakshatra today of Revati (Pisces 16.40-29.59), taking off the sting of Debilitation.  Mars will move into a new nakshatra, Bharani (Aries 13.20-26.39), on Monday, and the Sun changed constellation last Friday, moving into Pisces.  Mercury moves into the constellation of Revati on Sunday, March 19 (Pisces 16.40-29.59) and stays there until March 26th.  Mercury in Revati is a positive turn for Mercury, moving into its own constellation and out of the weakest part of the sky at 15 degrees Pisces, where it was at a low point of the year.  Expect communications to pick up a bit and some of last week’s computer problems and business challenges to improve.  This auspicious nakshatra has a primary motivation of moksha or spiritual enlightenment. The deity is Pushan, the nurturer and protector of travelers and animals, which is why people with dominant planets in this part of Pisces are such big animal lovers and contributors to animal rescue and the Humane Society. Revati is one of the most benefic nakshatras for spiritual growth and development of psychic abilities.  If you were born with Mercury in Revati (and this also comes out in transit), this is a time for profound and philosophical and deep spiritual thinking about the nature of the universe and expressing it in lectures and speech.  Venus and Jupiter are still uplifting Mercury and bringing out its highest qualities.  Mercury is exactly opposed by Jupiter on Friday, March 24th, which can create relationship challenges for Geminis, Virgos, Sagittarians, and Pisceans rising. Mercury then moves into the difficult Gandanta area, (literally meaning drowning), March 25-26th, as it is debilitated in that part of the sky, where it wants to be deeply spiritual but cannot be practical and down to earth.  So next weekend,  Geminis and Virgos will have to get real and practical about everything that is happening in their life.  Mercury moves into Aries, an enemy’s sign on March 27th and is conjunct Uranus on Sunday, March 26th.  We will write more that later.

The Vernal equinox is about 5:30 am in the Midwest on Monday, March 20th, for the start of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and for our friends in South America and Australia, it is a time for gratitude as harvest and Fall begins.  The electromagnetic energies shift at this time, affecting our own personal energies levels.  This can create extra energy, which can lead to intense work-alcoholism.  One has to avoid that energy and slow down, meditate more, and relax more or one could be prone to getting sick.  Time to create parties, go to festivals, enjoy more music.  The ancients around the world knew this, and this is how they welcomed the new season.

On Monday, March 20th, Mars moves into Bharani nakshatra (Aries 13.20-26.39) until April 7th.  We will write a whole article on this later in the week.  The symbol for Bharani is a clay vessel or vagina or womb, reflecting the potent creative energy that is contained in this star.  The ruling deity is Yama (the binder), the God of Death.  People with prominent planets in Bharani are often fascinated by Death and the Beyond.   This nakshatra is ruled by Venus, and Mars will be channeling Venus’s afflicted energy this week, bringing out the darker side of this energy and leading to a sense of feeling burdened, running around too much, having too much vigor, and acting too clever.  The combination of Mars/Venus energy can lead to passionate outbursts, but if not satisfied, will turn into deep quarreling and agitation with unreliable partners.  This will make relationships testy the next two weeks, so, as we said earlier in the week, get out of the house and give your partner a rest or anger flares up.  Make sure that their sexual needs are satisfied.  If frustrated, find alternative sensual and artistic expressions with dancing at a wild party or getting a massage if you do not feel nurtured enough.  Mars’ transit through the first pada of Bharani (Aries 13.20-16.40), from March 20-25th, can lead to great creativity and self-immersion and also can lead to extreme self-centeredness and strong will power.  There will be extra energy and drive to accomplish great things for Aries and Scorpio rising natives, but watch out so you do not bowl over others.

The Sun moved into the constellation of Uttara Bhadra (Pisces 3.21-16.39) last Friday.  This constellation is ruled by Saturn and so now is channeling Saturn’s energy.  Saturn is at least a bit happier having moved into a better section of Sagittarius, (we wrote about this last week), so that helps, but Saturn and the Sun are bitter enemies, and this section of the zodiac is never easy for the Sun.

Uttara Bhadrapada is associated with the constellations of  Pegasi and Andromedae in Pisces.
The deity is Ahir Budhnya and part of Lord Shiva’s army, which reflects the warrior nature of this lunar mansion.  The ruling planet, Saturn, provides great depth and spiritual discipline.  The power expressed by the constellation is ‘the bringing of the cosmic rain’.  This transit can increase spirituality and generosity but also brings out the darker energy of the sun, with more ego and arrogance.   Doing more charitable work and service during this transit, which goes until March 31st, can sublimate the energies and transform them.  Leo and Aries natives will have the most trouble with the transit through their 8th house and 12th house, respectively.  They will have to learn to accept their flaws and bend their egos in order to avoid friction and conflict at work and with superiors. This is not a time to speed on the highway if you are prone to traffic tickets nor to flaunt energy toward bosses or supervisors or toward other people in authority.  So bow your head, hold your tongue, and help others, rather than seek self-glory.

Finally, Venus is conjunct the Sun on Saturday, March 25th and will be most felt on Friday, March 24th, a day ruled by Venus.   The conjunction can also lead to manipulative energy in relationships and cause annoyances, friction, and problems, so remember to accept people with all their imperfections or you will likely be seething with anger.   Take care of your the reproductive organs, as problems can happen during this transit.     New Moon conjunct Venus is on Monday, March 27th and may also lead to indulgence in pleasures, over-spending, over-eating or too much sexual activity.

Taurus and Libra rising signs in Vedic astrology may continue to experience intense fatigue as the Sun moves toward Venus into March 25th.  This effect will not be free until after March 30th, so get extra rest and watch over-eating, zoning out or watching too many movies or you will get exhausted.

Have a great week and stay more rested. Stay out of picking fights with the opposite sex and help others, and you will sail through the sky!

Special thanks to my Jyotish Gurus and to Komilla Sutton and Dennis Harness and Prash Trivedi for their insights into the constellations and to my spiritual gurus for their wisdom and light.

So I want to give you a personal invitation to my new course starting Sunday, April 9th.  It is about expanding our limited perspective of how we look at charts, so that we not just caught up with our natal chart, which is more of our physical world.  Broadening our focus in this class, we learn how to look at our mental, emotional, soul levels, life purpose, hidden talents, and how our chart changes in time and as we move to new locations.  I think it is something that is not taught enough.   I am offering a special March price of 199.00 (March is in like a Lion!) through March 20th.

New course starting on multiple dimensions on April 9th: l
