MARS OPPOSITE SATURN AND NEPTUNE–PEAKS AUGUST 8-9TH.

MARS OPPOSITION SATURN/NEPTUNE:
PEAKING AUGUST 8TH & 9TH

Saturn opposes Mars at 7° Virgo/Pisces on August 8th, and the impact of that opposition will be felt strongly through mid-month, creating indecision and frustration in moving forward. Saturn wants to slow Mars down and impose restraints and rules, which never sits well with Mars. If Mars rules you—i.e., Aries or Scorpio rising—this is a good month to do the remedial mantras and chants listed below.

Mars also opposes Neptune exactly a day later. This can lead to discouragement, making you feel inadequate or overwhelmed by daily demands. Take care of your health and avoid getting run down, as this opposition can lower your immune system and make you vulnerable. Beware of deceptive people, and remember to stay truthful. Watch out for a tendency to escape into television, overeat, or indulge in other forms of substance abuse, as the temptation may surface. On the positive side, if you can focus, you may complete a project.

Mars in Virgo, when afflicted, can display an inflated ego; Mars likes to be right and will argue endlessly. This kind of energy creates fighting and frustration, so avoid going there unless it’s for a good cause—there’s more than enough of this energy on Facebook already.

Saturn in Pisces asks us to be structured and responsible, and does not want Mars to be a loose cannon. Think back to high school: when you threw gum or other assorted childhood relics at your teacher, you were exerting your power and adolescent ego. Remember your stern teacher’s response when she sent you to the principal’s office and made you feel worthless. Watch out for reckless drivers on the road, and avoid doing anything daredevil to prove your prowess.

If you feel anger bubbling up, let it go and find a healthy way to release it—through exercise, screaming in an empty room, or extra meditation. If anger and frustration are not released, they could lead to accidents or injuries, so be careful. The Moon will be full on Saturday, and that can intensify the energy, particularly when the Moon moves into Pisces and conjoins Saturn in the 12th house on Tuesday, a day ruled by Mars.

REMEDIES FOR MARS/SATURN

You can honor Lord Hanuman by chanting the Hanuman Chalisa or listening to it with devotion.

Mars is the natural 8th house lord, and Saturn is the Karaka (significator) of the 8th house. Chanting the mantra “Aum Namo Bhagavate Rudraya” can help you deal with this energy.

Commit to writing or chanting mantras like “Aum Namah Shivaya,” “Aum Namo Narayana,” or any of your favorite mantras every day for a minimum of 40 days, either silently or aloud.
