Astrological Market and Global Trends Outlook: September 2025
By Barry Rosen
As we enter September, several major astrological events set the tone for global and market trends.
Jupiter Trine Rahu – September 3–4
The month begins with Jupiter forming a trine to Rahu, from Gemini to Aquarius. This alignment is exact in the mean node system on September 3 and in the true node system on September 4.
Jupiter–Rahu aspects often signal extreme levels of greed and expansion. In financial markets, this can manifest as a blow-off rally or the over-inflation of assets. On a personal level, it increases spending desires and the urge to push beyond your limits—so this is a good week to leave the credit cards at home if you’re shopping.
Lunar Eclipse – September 7
A lunar eclipse occurs on the full moon of September 7, with the Moon at 23°54′ Aquarius, aspected by Jupiter. This brings strong optimism, mixed with the mental confusion Rahu is known for the confusion part and can warp decisions. . Important decisions and large purchases should be made with extra care this month.
The eclipse will be visible in Australia, Asia, Africa, and Europe, covering nearly 85% of the world’s population. It will not be visible in North America.
Sun–Ketu Conjunction and Mercury – September 11–13
The Sun moves toward conjunction with Ketu at 24°08′ Leo in the true node system, exact on September 11. The following day, September 12, Ketu conjoins Mercury, and then on September 13, the Sun and Mercury are conjunct.
This sequence may create significant communication disruptions—including issues with phone, internet, or electronic systems. On the political stage, leaders may stuggle with power issues, foreshadowing a climax into the Solar Eclipse on September 21.
Sun–Ketu conjunctions often bring a sense of burden, poor speculative decisions, domestic disharmony, and government instability. It’s a period to be cautious, even in small matters like dealing with the police (such as avoiding known speed traps).
Sun Combustion – August 29 to October 2
The Sun remains combust and hidden from the sky during this time, but the most challenging period occurs when Mercury is within five degrees of the Sun—between September 8 and September 20.
This can create an unsettled, obsessive, and restless mind. Meditation may be more difficult, so chanting aloud can help stabilize mental energy.
Mercury in Virgo – September 15 to October 2
Mercury enters Virgo, its sign of exaltation, from September 15 to October 2. This is an excellent time for clear thinking and wise decision-making.
However, Mercury’s clarity may be challenged as Saturn opposes Mercury on September 17. Early in this transit, communication and planning may feel delayed or restricted. Still, Saturn’s influence can sometimes sharpen Mercury’s focus, leading to deeper and more insightful analysis.
Solar Eclipse – September 21
A solar eclipse occurs on Sunday, September 21, with the Sun at 4°33′ Leo, coinciding with a Sun–Saturn opposition between Virgo and Pisces around 5 degrees. This is a partial eclipse, visible mainly in the Southern Hemisphere, including Australia and parts of the South Pacific.
Despite being partial, this eclipse carries weight due to the Sun–Saturn opposition, often linked to government instability, leadership crises, and structural challenges. Given the current state of global politics, this alignment may magnify tensions already brewing.
Final Thoughts
September 2025 carries powerful planetary alignments with both expansive optimism and restrictive challenges. Markets may swing from euphoria to caution, while global leaders face heightened instability. As the month closes, watch for how the eclipses and Saturn’s influence reshape both personal decisions and world events.
