It’s a good week as Mercury is firmly in Gemini, allowing communications and writing projects to move full steam ahead. Benefic Jupiter is also there, offering support—although the two planets are in a planetary war on Sunday, June 8, which may create tension, particularly for Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.
The Full Moon in Scorpio at 26 degrees peaks on Wednesday at 3:44 a.m. EDT. The five days before and after the Full Moon—extending through Sunday, June 15—are emotionally rich, with hearts full and feelings deep. Scorpio, as always, brings intensity. This Full Moon also receives a wide square from Mars in Leo, though its effects may be more noticeable early Monday morning.
Mars is fully in Leo and out of the troubled Gandanta zone by Monday, June 9, bringing renewed fiery energy that can help push big projects forward. While Ketu still afflicts Mars, the more serious challenges emerge after July 12. We had anticipated that Mars/Ketu in Leo might produce civil unrest, and indeed, early signs have already appeared in Los Angeles. With Mars moving through early Leo, the question is: what unfolds by the end of July?
President Trump, who has Mars at 3° Leo in his natal chart, will experience a Mars return soon, potentially energizing him for bold, militaristic action. Will this manifest as aggressive trade policies (tariffs) or escalation toward Iran?
The Sun moves into Gemini late on Saturday, June 14, marking a favorable transit for Leo rising. However, Cancer rising individuals may feel more disappointment, as this becomes a 12th house transit for them.
Monday, June 9, features a complex cluster of outer planetary aspects. Saturn squares Mercury with a strong 75% aspect. Though not a full Vedic aspect, it’s still powerful and can temporarily slow clear thinking and communication. However, it may also open the door to deeper insights.
Also on June 9, Pluto squares Venus, which is always intense—especially for Libra and Taurus rising—as it stirs up deep anger and catalyzes transformational healing.
Meanwhile, Mercury is squared by Neptune, creating the potential for confused thinking, emotional fog, and a lack of focus while opening access to deep unconscious realms.
