EYE ON THE SKY:Â SUN EXALTED IN ARIES–GREAT LEADERSHIP OR OVERBEARING POWER
Sun will be in the Pisces gandanta area this week April 10-13th which is (Pisces 27-30). This area is a place where the the soul has difficult understanding its inner reality and seeing the truth. The Sun transiting this area can create difficulties with father or bosses or authority figures particularly if you were born April 10-13th in your natal chart. Gandanta means knot and there is often difficulty trying to understand and unravel the karmic knot in relationship to planets here.
The Pisces gandanta in the constellation of Revati is a place of culmination of spiritual knowledge and maturity and the culmination of the spiritual journey. As the Sun moves into Aries, it is reborn with a lot of rajasic energy and power to move forth and to achieve so this is a final contemplative week on the spiritual journey of the soul. There is some insecurity as the soul as about to be reborn as it moves into Aries on April 13th.
The Sun is exalted in Aries and one of my favorite times of the year and it reaches its highest point of exaltation into April 23rd.  Exalted planets are misinterpreted often and my personal feeling is that they have too much power and do exaggerated actions that are often out of balance. It also depends what rising sign you are for an impact but if you are born between April 13-May 14th, you have the exalted Sun in your natal chart.
Jupiter is aspecting Aries this year which is a positive for joyful expansion and confidence in general and we could all use some of that to uplift our spirit over the next month. That aspect is exact on May 8th and only Venus is afflicting Aries until April 19th when it moves into Taurus
Still most of the transit is in good shape with increasing leadership, courage, ambition, sharp thinking, achievement, joy, strong fathering and innovation. Leos, Scorpios, Sagittarius and Cancer rising and moon signs probably do best with the transit while Taurus rising and Libras and Virgo rising and moon signs will have more problems with it. Still the Sun represents the Divine and Sundays over the next month will be packed with great energy and Divine power and grace from this transit.
Still I think the Sun in Aries will pick a lot of self-starting energy and so a good time to do projects and get a lot done. Sun will be in the constellation of Ashwini (Aries 0-13.20) April 13-26 which is know in modern astronomy as Alpha-Arietes and Beta-Arietes near the bright star of Andromeda between March 2-April 1st. The symbol for Ashwini is a horse’s head representing a dauntless spirit of adventure and a head-strong nature. This transit usually fosters self-starters and energy to complete projects.  It is also a very healing constellation and so there will be more energy for healing.  This is a nakshatra of initiation, revitalization and transformational healing. The ruling planet is Ketu (South Node of the Moon), which gives a mystical and mysterious bent to their life journey.
The first part of the transit is through Aries 0-3 degrees (April 13-15 ) and particularly between 0.00-0.48 is through the gandanta or karmic knot 0n April 13th .  There is underlying strength to work out new beginnings in a new cycle of growth initiated by moving into the start of the zodiac. The energy is there to untie deep karmic knots but frustrations will still come up strongly and given all the changes going on from the first week of March, there will be plenty to work on and heal. The Sun is too powerful here and Leo rising people or Aries may be too overbearing and burn others up. My exalted Sun friends who are Leo are way too intense to connect to.
So go forth in action with new energy but just avoid being too reckless mid-month with the Rahu affliction.
