Mercury retrogrades back into Leo on Friday, Sept. 9th but remains on the edge of the sign on Sept. 8th-9th giving it less energy. The retrograde has not been that terrible but as it moves closer to the Sun for the conjunction on Sept. 12th and goes sandhi on the edge of the sign into Sept. 8-9th, computer and communication problems may intensify so continue to back up your computer data, be redundant with important communications and be patient. Mercury goes direct again on Sept. 22nd.
Jupiter begins combustion on Sept. 11th-Oct. 10th and is conjunct the Sun into Sept. 26th. Jupiter too close to the sun burns up its significations so things like the liver which is ruled by Jupiter may have more problems functioning and this is also connected to end of the summer detoxificaion happening. Avoid heavy and oily foods –especially at night– which are hard to metabolize and use liver tonics and lemon in water in the morning to tonify the liver. May be a good time for Panchakarma at the Ayurveda clinic or a simple diet of rice and dahl to give your liver a rest. Jupiter rules optimism and judgement and when it gets too close to the sun, it can be falsely optimistic about something or be too critical or judgement–especially with the Virgo transit. Be realistic and check your facts careful and lighten up on people if you are feeling heavy. The exact conjunction of Sun and Jupiter on Sept. 26th can be really powerful for the Sun and Jupiter as the Sun will take on all of Jupiter’s energy and feel uplifted by generosity, confidence and expansion.
Mars moves into the end of the sign of Scorpio, know as the stinger’s tail where its fire is put out and it feels too emotional and feels like it is drowning Sept. 13-17th. Anger and emotional flare ups can be strong and Scorpio and Aries rising may particularly feel the intensity. Do the Warrior pose to balance and chill out.
Moon finally moves out of the Snakes grasp from the Kala Sarpa Yoga discussed earlier after the Lunar Eclipse on Sept. 16th for a few weeks so we may finally get a break from the intensity but until Sept. 18th and Sept. 22nd, its still a pretty rough month so take care of yourself, do your yoga and meditation and help others.
