JUPITER IN SWATI NAKSHATRA: LIBRA 6.40-19.59

Jupiter retrogrades into the constellation of Arcturus on June 18th, which in the Vedic system is called Swati. (Libra 6.40-19.59) That means it channels Rahus’ energy from Cancer and Rahu is in better shape in the constellation of Pushya (Cancer 3.20-16.40) and will get out of the more difficult section in the mean node system after June 28th. Rahu and Jupiter associations are expansive and can bring great material gains, but it spoils Jupiter’s’ purist form and gets Jupiter too involved in material accumulation and happiness can be denied. It can also move one toward foreign philosophies and religion, create scandals with corrupt Gurus or teachers or put one in a religious fundamentalist environment. Given the problems with fundamentalism, we do not need more of this stirred up.
Jupiter is not at home in Swati in the enemy side of Libra and that means its profound wisdom can get lost in the commercialization of wisdom. Since Jupiter and Venus are enemies, too much emphasis for Libra and Aries rising signs may be on successful and material relationships at the cost of deep spiritual knowledge.
People born in Swati nakshatra have a very material pursuit in life and Venus luxuriates in comfort and Rahu amplifies the desire for materialism. Swati’s presiding deity is Vayu the God of wind. People born in this nakshatra are very loyal, intelligent, and fair and have the ability to serve. They have a very balanced personality. There are many rich people born in this nakshatra but after attaining wealth and comfort the person is not satisfied in life. They eventually get tired being pursuing materialistic pleasure.
Jupiter will stay in the 4th Pada of Swati (16.40-19.59 Libra) which is owned by Pisces repeating the energy from Nov. 30-Dec. 18, 2017. Jupiter gains strength in this pada as it owns Pisces promoting service, teaching, counseling and spiritual development. It is Pushkara so it has extra power and strength and creativity. Still it is connected to Rahu and Libra and may have a sexual energy to it promoting sacred sex or pro-creativity for children. In some way, Jupiter is not at home with the intense sexual energy of Libra and would rather be involved in deep philosophical and religious activity.
Jupiter will be very strong in the sky the week before and after the retrograde between July 3 and July 17th and goes stationary direct on July 10th. This will help marketing projects move forward without delays and promote business expansion and support the economy again. Jupiter in Libra and Swati supports the entertainment industry so a good time to take the kids to Disneyland or other theme parks and do fun and entertaining things.
