SUN IN ARDRA: JUNE 22-JULY 4
Sun transited on June 22nd and  into the the constellation of Ardra which is located at Gemini (6.20-20.00)    Western astronomers connect it with the constellation of  Betelgeuse in the constellation of Orion, and Sirius, the Dog star.
Ardra is one of the more difficult constellations in the zodiac that creates clarity and emotional cleansing that occurs after the storms of the soul recede. Sun in Ardra creates unsettledness around career or life purpose so maybe a time to re-valuate what you want to do with your career or how to get in touch with a deeper purpose in your life. If may bring up core issue around bosses or your father than require deep healing and clarification or whatever house the Sun/Leo is connected in your chart.
The primary symbols for Ardra are a human head, representing thinking, and a teardrop, which represents over-coming suffering. It is an excellent rising nakshatra because it reflects brilliant mental abilities such as people like  Einstein.  Rudra, the lord of the storms, will probably kick off hurricane  season with a bang also so listen to the radio more if you live in a hurricane area.
Ardra creates emotional storms of a short-duration if we get stuck in the past and its purpose is to shake us out of our rigidity and to change our life to create a better future. It has the Uranus quality. The storms wash away the dirt and leave us clearer and brighter and shiner and so they have a positive purpose. It ultimately seeks to dismantle whatever level of Maya or illusion we are stuck in. Ardra can scatter mental energies and and create confusion to the key will be to find the courage to tackle the challenges and come out the other end of the car wash–squeaky clean.
Rahu the owner of Ardra is being aspected very closely by Saturn now and so the impact of this transit is stronger as Rahu is more anxious and unsettled. Just when we thought we were out of trouble with Mars moving into Cancer and away from Rahu, we were wrong.
Leo rising and will be most impacted by Sun in Ardra but it is still a good 11th house transit which means eventual gains after trials with friends or problems with groups or health issues.  It is a quick transit and is complete by July 4th. Scorpio rising has a difficult 8th house transit here and Cancer Rising a difficult 12th house transit which brings up more subconscious grunge to heal. Time to do deeper healing work and get the crux of the issues at hand.
When the moon goes into Ardra for the Solar eclipse on July 2nd, it will particularly enliven and open up new storms to heal.  Rahu will retrograde back into Ardra on September 12th in the mean nodes system and create a long visit so we will have to spend time examining it later at the end of the summer and our 2019-20 Almanac has a focused article on it.
