SECRETS OF DASHAS PART 1– SO MANY SECRET TECHNIQUES TO GET IT RIGHT

SECRETS OF DASHAS PART 1

Predicting through Vimshottari Dasha is quite an art and quite complicated.  Vimshotari Dasha is connected to the moon and that should give us a clue as to how to use it as it governs more of how we feel in the Dasha and how we feel and what is going on in the mind impacts our decision making process.   For example in a Ketu dasha or Ketu sub-period, the tendency is to want to let go or change something like a house, a job or a relationship because Ketu wants to leave the world and go meditate at the ashram and get enlightened.

There are also many dashas based on signs called Rashi Dashas and they are more connected to the material manifestation.  The major one was promoted by KN Rao called Chara Dasha and it is much better and easier  at predicting material world events than Vimshottari.  For example, I got married in my Vimshottari Moon/Saturn period with Moon Debilitated in the 1st and Saturn exalted in the 12th house.  Moon is in the 6th house in the D9 chart and one would not easily predict marriage. However, in Chara Dasha I was running a Taurus/Leo  period which was connected to the 7th house and the subperiod of Leo was connected to my Darakaraka the signifier for spouse.  That is the period I got married in.  Lately I start with Chara Dasha for prediction and move toward Vimshottari Dasha for confirmation.

Sometimes Vimshottari Dasha is not the best dasha to use. There are  10 alternative nakshatra dashas like Ashottarri and Shodashari  and they need to utilized to get results.  In the chart of George Bush Senior, (12/12/1924;  10:30 am, Milton, MA) you would be hard pressed to see his 1988 or 1992 election results from his Ketu period using Vimshottari Dasha, but alternative dashas for his chart show a Sun/Mercury period with Sun having Dig Bala in 1988 easily predicting his election and his reelection denial in a weak moon period Moon/Mars period.  Once you know the rules for one nakshatra prediction, you can transfer them to the other 9.

Often the Nakshatra that the dasha is placed in will have more of an influence on the period and there may be a difference in Mars periods depending if the Nakshatra involved is Chitra, Dhanishta or Mrigashira.  Since I was born in Jyestha, my nakshatra sequence of dashas goes from Jyestha to Moola to Purvashadha to Uttarshadha to Dhanishta and hence my current Rahu period is more connected to Satabhishak even if my Rahu is placed in Moola.  Counting the houses from the nakshatra dasha in question will yield more accurate results.

The subjective pairings of Dasha bhukti periods can easily predict the mental and emotional temperament of the period based on what we know about the conjunction or pairing of the two planets.  Moon/Saturn and Saturn/Moon periods are so often emotional devastating with depression and grief just because of the nature of the two periods.

The dasha that you are born into will also become a dominant theme for your entire life.  I was born with Moon in Jyestha in a Mercury period and the nature of that Nakshatra with Indra and his vunerabilities continues to play a dominant role throughout my life.

We are starting a 19  week course that  will cover the basics of Vimshottari dasha for four weeks but then will offer new depth and new techniques to get predictions more accurate using alternative dashas, Rashi Dashas and other techniques. One class will be offered on how to predict using 5 levels of dashas where the most manifest level of creation happens.
