MARS CONJUNCT SATURN IN D9/ SUBTLE EMOTIONAL FRUSTRATION

EYE ON THE SKY: MARS/SATURN CONJUNCTION IN THE D9 CHART

We have a tense and subtle event with Mars conjunct Saturn in the difficult sign of Aquarius in the D9 or Navamsha chart and it repeats some of the energy from Oct 22-Nov. 22nd when it happened in Capricorn in the D9. This goes on from Dec. 2-15th. Luckily Venus is now in Libra so it can smooth things out a bit but Mars is throwing a sneaky 210-degree aspect to Mercury (8 houses) from Pisces to Scorpio and will hit exactly into Dec. 15th and this increases tensions and arguments. Aquarius is a sign of social unrest, caring about society, and deep karma to burn off and with the solar eclipse peaking into Dec. 14th, this whole complex is setting up a lot of tension in the skies as we go into the Electoral College voting and the court cases around election disputes. Afflicted Saturn causes hasty running around and you have to slow down to avoid mistakes. Jupiter moving toward the Saturn conjunction into Dec. 21st will support Saturn and ease the tension but gets a bit destroyed in the process. Mars/Saturn and Jupiter will be conjunct in the D9/Aquarius pada Dec/ 8-15 which adds some wisdom for winning the Mars/Saturn war but Jupiter gets killed in the process. Carefully weigh your decisions.

So, between now and at least Dec. 15th when Mars gets to 26.40 of Pisces you have to be more careful and alert to avoid anger, injuries, accidents, and fires. It reminds me of my favorite police drama from the early ’80s, Hill Street Blues where the morning sergeant always ends the meetings with “You all be safe out there, ya hear.” So slow down and do not be reckless in the next month to prevent accidents. Watch Saturdays and Tuesdays, ruled by Mars and Saturn most and if you are running a Mars or Saturn period or sub-period or have a Mars/Saturn association in your chart or if you are Aquarius, Capricorn, Aries, Scorpio rising, it will impact you more.

The tendency is for anger and frustration to bubble up and you may snap at people. Resentment may flow through the mind. Delays and obstacles and indecision may bubble up. You will probably see more accidents and fires and terrorism in the news. Aquarius is owned by Saturn and Mars and Saturn will be doing their dance of frustration, anger, indecision. Unfortunately, this will feed post-election violence if the courts side with Trump in any way.

Mars is weaker in the Aquarius section of Revati and it is a bit of a political warrior and stepping over those that do not believe the way they do. I have found myself in Facebook fights lately and not caring what others think. The whole world has this problem that if people do not think as we do, then off with their heads. Remember, the world thrives and moves on different opinions and believes and creates a beautiful mosaic. If you want peace and harmony, you have to see both sides–and they are always there. The media has created so much hate over the past 3-4 years that I am shocked to see friends of 40 years suddenly fighting across the aisle. Is it worth it? Is any politician really going to change our world? We hope, but it never happens. Use the energy to create better communities and help people in trouble and volunteer and do more service work. While I have a sense of how things will resolve, whatever I say will make 1/2 of you angry. See beyond hate and divisive action from the media and realize that we all depend on each other. I appreciate many liberal sentiments for equality and at the same time, I see lots of wonderful things in my conservative friends and their faith and values for preserving our national heritage. There has to be room for both or our country will be torn apart. Media exaggerations about labeling people white supremacists are not real. There are only small and isolated groups and minorities that hold these values. Do not get up into labels and hate or stereotyping people into boxes.

Stay on top of your meditation and yoga and spiritual practices to stay even and grounded. Go easier and slower and be more patient and aware to avoid accidents and angry flare-ups. Give people the benefit of mistakes that happen and be forgiving rather than fly off the handle. This is a 2-week period to practice mindfulness and observe what is happening in the mind and body and to stay balanced and not over-react. Find a way to laugh at situations and practice patience. If you do not stay on top of sleep, if you indulge in bad habits that are not good for you, if you are not mindful, it may seem rough and frustrating. Be kind to your partner if you go back into lock-down which is starting to happen again.

The Yoga poses like the Warrior pose can focus energy into the 3rd eye and keep you alert and the chair pose can ground you and keep you alert. So be careful out there, slow down, watch the anger, and find a way to channel the energy positively into exercise, positive action, and service.
