TOO MANY MARS OPPOSITIONS THIS WEEK–WATCH THOSE FIGHTING WORDS

EYE ON THE SKY:  MARS’S OPPOSITION TO MERCURY AND VENUS

While we get Mars and Venus and Mercury conjunctions and squares quite often.  We do not get the oppositions between Taurus and Scorpio very often and 1975 was the last time that I found them in those signs.  Mars opposes Mercury on Nov. 29th and it opposes Venus on Dec. 1st. Venus and Mars are also exchanging signs which amplifies the tensions.

By Tuesday and Wednesday, ruled by Mars, the tension between Mars and Mercury is exact at  180 degrees,  Verbal fighting and squabbling and irritation will be high over the next few days.  If you do not find a way to release anger and conflict, it could spill over into accidents and fires and wounds and cuts.

We need to model ourselves after kids.  They get angry, they let out their aggression and they may even get into a fight with another kid but then it’s over and they move on and they do not hold onto it.  As adults, we have been taught that fighting and aggression are bad and we repress them.  Find a way to get to let positively go of your anger.  Scream at the top of your lungs in an empty car or house; take a baseball bat and pound a pillow;  do some exercise or engage in a competitive sport; do some service work and help veterans on a Tuesday or donate to their charities.

When we feel victimized and do not express or act then accidents happen so we can gain sympathy for frustration.  Do not let it get that far.  Find a way to get it out and release it before it gets dangerous.  Aries, Scorpios, Geminis, and Virgos are most vulnerable in the next few days.

The combination of Mercury and Mars can bring up disputes and arguments so remember not to argue in the car and pullover if something starts and drive carefully and watch out for the other guy Nov. 28-Dec 1st  during the most intense part of that transit.  Drive carefully. Be alert for the other guy.

Mars/Mercury causes us to get caught up thinking in our head and hashing over things that people have said and that prevents us from being alert (Mars) and then problems happen.  So focus on one thing at a time. If you are driving, do not talk on your cell phone and multitask. Stay focused.  If you are exercising or in physical activity, be 100 percent.

Mars-related yoga postures can help develop alertness so doing the Warrior Pose will help and the frog pose will help with low energy from the Sun’s combustion to help the adrenals find more power.   Shoulder stands will support Mercury and calm the over-active mind.

“So, you all be careful out there” as the Sargent in Hill Street Blues used to stay!

PART 2:  MARS OPPOSITION VENUS

Mars is in a Paravartana Yoga with Venus which Western Astrologers call a mutual exchange with Venus in Mars’s sign of Scorpio and Mars in Venus’s sign of Taurus/Retrograde.  The houses involve are more important in Vedic astrology and the exchange is more difficult if it involves the 3rd, 6th, 8th or 12th houses so Virgo Rising, Cancer, Rising, Sagittarius Rising and Aries Rising may have more difficulties with it.

The signature for Venus/Mars is passion and enthusiasm.  Because this is an opposition it may bring up more fighting with the opposite sex rather than a sexual passion–but often they go together.  Learn to listen more this week and veer away from having to be right as that means ego takes over harmony.

This transit is only going to manifest a major problem if you are running a Mars/Venus or Venus/Mars period and if you have a difficult planetary signature and conjunction in your natal chart–particularly in Taurus or Scorpio.   Your alertness and awareness can be proactive to prevent problems.

If you get angry in the car, pull over and just wait to fight in your relationship while you are not driving.  The positive side of this aspect is that it can create a lot of creative energy which needs to be expressed through music or dance to release its power.  Sexual energies will be aroused so be sure to channel them lovingly if you have no partner, you will need to release them artistically or they may seem overwhelming. Stay away from unhealthy releases here as that never ends well.  Exercise and dance are good to release sexual tensions.
