EARLY JANUARY ASTRO-WEATHER

 NEW MOON IN SAGITTARIUS, JAN 11th 6:57 AM EST

The new Moon in Sagittarius on Jan. 11th is one of the better ones of the year. New Moons tend to bring lower energy fatigue and mental exhaustion and require us to rest more. In Sagittarius, the moon has more optimism for new beginnings and it does have a wide trine from the dispositor,  Jupiter in Aries, and Jupiter is exalted in the D9 chart/Pada 4 until Feb. 2^nd. 

The new moon is also at about 27 degrees Sagittarius which is an auspicious place in the sky in Vedic astrology as it is Vargottama and it is Pushkara where it has more manifestation energy.  Traditional new moons are a rest period but also mark the beginning of more auspicious starts for events for later in the month.  In Vedic Muhurtha, unlike Western astrology, New Moons are inauspicious days for new beginnings but that does not mean you cannot use the time for creative planning and deep soul searching. 

Sagittarius is connected to belief structure and the challenge of Sagittarius is not to get stuck in religious or fundamental values.  Instead, use the optimism of Sagittarius to be creative and continue your vision for the New Year and believe that you can materialize it.

JUPITER TRINE MARS: Jan. 12^th at 6:42 am EST

This aspect is particularly powerful for Aries Rising as Jupiter is in Aries and trining its own sign in a 9^th house aspect which creates a powerful yoga for good luck with spiritual activity and service.  It also creates a general feeling of optimism for Scorpio and Aries and Sagittarius Rising and should bring unexpected good luck.  It is also very supportive of sports and other competitive action if you are involved in such activity but it also could support sales and marketing.
