REVISITING THE SATURN/NEPTUNE CONJUNCTION:
Exact  July 12, 2025, within 13 minutes of each other
   Exact conjunction: Feb. 20, 2026.  Pisces 6.21.
While Vedic astrologers do not pay much attention to the outer planets, they are essential in mundane affairs and have a significant impact on the collective consciousness. Because Saturn and Neptune are retrograding NOW, , they will be closely impacting each other until October within 3 degrees , then move forward again.  Saturn goes stationary direct on Nov. 27th at 0.56 Pisces and Neptune goes stationary direct at about 4 Pisces and Dec. 6, 2025. They are are not conjunct until February 20, 2026. Hence, they are tightly paired for months, and we would do better to understand them more deeply.
Saturn/Neptune conjunctions happen about every 36–37 years. The last time this alignment occurred was in 1989–1990.  In November 1989, we had the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Empire.  Is the EU set for a fall next year? The significant changes in the French, German, and British governments, and their continued teetering on the edge, are all part of this, and more developments are expected to continue into next year.  The realignment of the Middle East and the strong emergence and reorganization of the BRICS countries vs. the Western Bretton-Woods dollar-dominated countries is another outcome.Â
Neptune in Pisces is a long transit and goes until Feb. 2037. Saturn in Pisces is a shorter transit from March 29, 2025, to June  3, 2027. Saturn will heighten our awareness of water and ocean crises, as well as plastic pollution, while also increasing our fear of global calamities due to the subconscious nature of Pisces and the natural 12th house of the zodiac.
The positive impact of Saturn/Neptune is that it forces us to examine the malfunctioning of government systems and the presence of inadequate leaders with loose moral ethics. We have seen the rise of this phenomenon starting to happen around the world, as abusive governments worldwide are facing the wrath of people who are tired of some of the hollow policies that have caused more harm than good. DOGE has been an extreme manifestation of this, and eliminating government waste is beneficial, but the accompanying political upheaval is rather unsettling.
Impact on the Physical Level:
Suppose you are ruled by Saturn (ie, Capricorn or Aquarius rising) or have Saturn or the Sun in early degrees of natal Pisces or early Virgo. In that case, you may be most impacted by the Saturn/Neptune conjunction. Â Â It tends to create fatigue and lower vitality, and the Mars/Ketu conjunction at the same time is not helping matters.
Neptune tends to dissolve boundaries, and when paired with Saturn’s constrictive nature, this can lead to physical exhaustion or chronic fatigue. The body may feel burdened or unclear about its limits. Do not press yourself beyond your limits, even if Neptune calls for Herculean fantasies.
During this transit, you may be more sensitive to toxins and medications. There may be an increased physical sensitivity, and you may have a strong reaction to drugs, alcohol, or environmental toxins.
Saturn/Neptune conjunctions may elicit a weakened immune response. Western astrologers believe that Neptune rules the lymphatic and immune systems, while Saturn can suppress them. Together, they may create a period where people need to bolster their physical resilience through rest, hydration, detoxification, and gentle routines.Â
On a mental level, Saturn/Neptune conjunctions can blur reality and structure: Saturn represents structure, discipline, and form, while Neptune symbolizes dreams, illusions, and formlessness. The conjunction can dissolve rigid mental structures and belief systems, leading to a sense of confusion, disorientation, or even spiritual crisis. On the positive side, there may be increased imagination and spiritual insight: For those engaged in creative, spiritual, or healing disciplines, this transit can provide breakthroughs in vision and perception. It’s ideal for artists, mystics, and visionaries—if they can strike a balance between inspiration and discipline.Â
