MERCURY OPPOSITION JUPITER: MAY 22ND
Mercury in Aries will be opposing Jupiter in Libra exactly on Tuesday, May 22nd with a 3 degree orb of influence between May 21-May 26th. It will impact Geminis, Virgos, Sagittarius, Pisces and Aries and Libras most. The Aries/Libra natural opposition is between self and partner, holding onto being right and doing it together in relationship.
Overall it creates a feeling of optimism with two benefics involved but one has to be careful of over-optimisitic thinking and grand planning and make sure you get the fine points hammered out if you are doing contracts. Communications may become arrogant and filled with cocksureness so be sure to adjust your communications so as to allow other to feel invited into the conversation and valued. Friendly intellectual josting may happen but it is all in fun with Jupiter but be sure to avoid the self-righteous energy.
Mercury and Jupiter own the dual sides and often are considered enemies particularly with regard to relationships so make sure in you are not getting self-righteous or arrogant with your partner as it is likely to blow up. Oppositions are inherently tense. Mercury aspects desire learning and knowledge and informational reconnaissance. Jupiter aspects show us all the good karma that we have done and remind us to continue to do charity and service and philanthropy. Jupiter is also connected to children so donating money to childhood education seems to cry out this week.
Jupiter aspect also show us what we value most so the Mercury opposition will endear us to writing and teaching and knowledge this week so go for it.
