MARS DIRECT IN REVATI NAKSHATRA/PISCES NOV. 13-DEC. 23RD

EYE IN THE SKY: MARS IN REVATI DIRECT UNTIL DEC. 23RD

Mars goes direct in its friend’s sign, Pisces on Nov. 13th and stays there for about 6 weeks.   The direct energy will now shoot Mars out out of a cannon to move into action and get things done that have had stops and starts and delays.  Time to start your exercise routine again and get moving on those stalled projects.

Mars is aspected by Saturn in Pisces with a 60 degree wide aspect so its highest energies do not come out.  In general, Mars in Pisces through Dec. 23rd  can create overspending, living too big and too fast, problems with children, staggered expansion, broken promises, zealousness.  Still as it moves further away from the wide Saturn aspect,   its brighter side will come out with this transit with is a braver outlook, generosity, devoted to ideals, and being an activist for legal causes.  Scorpio and Aries rising will be most affected Aries being more troubled by expenses and trips to foreign countries and Scorpio rising probably getting enriched by spiritual knowledge and new spiritual initiations.  Capricorn, Libra and Taurus rising actually may benefit most as it is a 3, 6 and 11th house transit from their rising signs.  Pisces and Virgos  will also be affected most by relationship and sexual tensions issues.

MARS IN REVATI  NAKSHATRA  (Pisces 16.40-29.59)  TIL DEC. 23RD.

Mars is in  into  constellation of zeta-Piscium (Pisces 16.40-30.00) which consists of around 27 faint stars  forming the tail of the fish in the constellation of Pisces.   In Vedic astrology this constellation is know as Revati meaning wealthy or transcendental.  Given the connection to the 12th sign of the zodiac connected to moksha or liberation the two meanings remind us that spiritual practice is our real wealth or the wealth that never dies.

Revati is a very satvic or pure constellation that supports the spiritual warrior so service work or action that benefits humanity is supported the next three weeks.  Mars’s highest energy is service to transform our society so get out their and volunteer for a good cause.

Mars is getting help from the dispositor Jupiter for a week but loses it as it goes into Capricorn on Nov. 20th.  It will continue to be connected to Mercury as the Nakshatra despositor and Mercury is at least in a friend’s sign of Libra until Nov.  21st and then moves back into Scorpio where it will get a difficult 8th house aspect of Mars increasing arguments and fighting.

The famous Pisces fish represent the fish swimming its path in the sea is connected to life-path and the path to liberation but it is more as it is connecting to the universal mind and reminds us of the true meaning of Jai Guru Dev, Victory to the Big Mind.  Only by letting go of our small ego and surrendering to the Divine will, do we stand a chance of transcending the changing world.

The deity of the constellation is Pushan, connected to the Sun, who lights the paths to the Divine and is connected to travel whether mental journeys or spiritual pilgrimages.  Both are the same.  As Saul Bellow’s character in Henderson the Rain King proclaims, “all travel is mental travel.”  Hence our outer quests are part of our inner quest to return to the Divine.

Revati is ruled by the planet Mercury and contains all the Divine wisdom that exists in the Universe as it allows one to understand the possibilities of the entire creation.  As Mercury moves toward Ketu into Dec. 14th  as it conjuct Ketu in Scorpio after Nov. 21st, mental noise can get angry and  depressing and confused for Aries and Scorpio rising .

The Sanskrit name for Mercury is Buddha (the enlightened one) and Mercury’s sense of humor reminds us that the journey to the Divine does not have to be a heavy and serious one but can be filled with tricks from the Guru and laughter.

MARS IN GANDANTA: DEC. 16-23RD:

The end of the transit, Dec. 16-23rd, is tricky.  The transition points between the water and the fire signs between 27-3 degrees Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio are difficult transit points in the zodiac for planets.  Mars enters the transition area on Dec. 16th and stays there until Dec. 23rd with Dec. 22-23rd the most difficult time.

The end of Revati is a very spiritual place of completions as Mars leaves the satvic constellations that have supported spiritual growth and as it gets read in Aries for the fire for new and active beginning which represents rajas energy.  Storms can arise here in the transition as emotional unraveling of old and deep karmic spiritual issues arise and want to be healed.  The Aries section starting Dec. 23-27th  is much easier to handle as Mars gets shot out of a canon and is ready for dynamic action to go forth and conquer but expect more emotional unraveling around deep issues until then. Powerful spiritual transformation is likely here with the strong exchange from Jupiter and its aspect so completions of the spiritual journey of the last 5 weeks should happen now and go with it.
