HOW ASTROLOGICAL TIMING WORKS: UNDERSTANDING OUR GENERAL ARTICLES

HOW ASTROLOGICAL TIMING WORKS AND HOW IT IMPACTS YOUR CHART

There was some confusing and debating about my transit articles in recent blogging.  I agree that transits are always understood within the context of the major cycles or dashas that are running but if one is writing a general article for the public about mass psychology or major emotional impacts from transits, then there is a broader general influence.   Everyone will notice Mercury retrograde and its impact but some charts will be impacted more.  In order to be meaningful to so many individuals, we have to be broad and general.   Our intent is never to strike fear or worry into anyone’s hearts but to create awareness of how the planets are pulling your emotional and psychological strings...

SATURN, GRUMBLING AND RESPONSIBILITY–JUST GET THE JOB DONE

EYE ON THE SKY: FOCUS ON SATURN at WORK

As Saturn moves toward conjunction with Mars into April 2nd, it becomes more impatient and afflicted. The tendency is to grumble and complain.  Mars/Saturn associations can create strikes in the populace as frustration builds around work and not being treated fairly.

The tendency is to complain with Saturn.  So often it is about work because Saturn governs work and it is such a larger part of our life.   Chances are if there were no problems at work, you would not have a job.  Be grateful the ever-constant series of problems at work.  Some people do not have a job.  Saturn rejoices in hard work, responsibility and doing the job with a stoic attitude...

SATURN IN PURVA ASHADHA NAKSHATRA : MARCH 3RD-JUNE 4TH–A BREAK IN THE ACTION

EYE ON THE SKY Saturn in Purva Ashadha Nakshatra : MARCH 3RD

March – June 4th and November 28 – April 2019

Saturn has been very difficult in transit this winter as we have been discussing it this past week at the end of the constellation of Mula (10.00-13.20). I thought it would be time to look forward and look for a lift in the intense action with Saturn moves into a new constellation and give us some welcome relief.

Saturn enters the constellation of Purva Ashadha nakshatra (13.20 Sagittarius-26.40) on March 3rd, 2018 and stays there for 3 months and then returns there in late November until April 2019. This constellation is Saturn in Purva connected to Venus, a friend, and finally gives some relief from the intensity of Mula nakshatra, which has been going on much too long.
Saturn will...

SATURN, RESTLESSNESS AND CHANGE: BEING PATIENT OR MIXING IT UP?

EYE ON ASTROLOGY: SATURN in EARLY SAGITTARIUS

Saturn is unsettled in the first constellation of  Sagittarius until March 2nd.   We have been writing about this one for a while and will continue to do so.  Saturn will creating restlessness  and desire for change.  But will the change help?

ASTROLOGICAL WEATHER REPORT THROUGH MARCH 1ST: DEALING WITH EMOTIONAL GRUNGE

EYE ON THE SKY: COMPLEX EMOTIONS UNTIL EARLY MARCH

The complexity of the astrology through March 3rd requires  a bit of understanding and help. First of all, Saturn in the 4th section of the constellation of Mula (Sagittarius 10-13.20) is completing a difficult phase where it seeks to destroy  materialism and security in order to create moksha and can cut you away from those you love.  The unraveling of Bitcoin and the stock market has not been an accident during this time which will be over March 3rd.  There seems to be a great number of loved-ones and friends departing and I know I have had 4-5 friends pass suddenly during this time.  People are a but emotional unraveling...

RAHU TRINE MARS FEB. 11-28–A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE

EYE ON THE SKY: RAHU TRINE MARS

Rahu, the planet of desire and ambition and deception is aspecting Mars the planet of action exactly on Feb. 19th using the true node system and is within the critical five degrees of impact Feb 11-28th .  Luckily Mars is very strong in its own sign of Scorpio but the aspect is occurring between two volatile constellations Ashlesha (Cancer 16.40-29.59) and Jyestha (Scorpio 16.40-29.59).

The aspect  creates great energy to want to act, to move forward after not progressing for a long time and can unleash huge amounts of energy but if people get in the way, it might lead to losing one’s temper easily.   Scorpio can be a bit like molten lava even if it is a fixed sign and Martian energy can be a bit explosive there when connected with Rahu.

The key with thi...

MERCURY IN AQUARIUS : IT IS A COMPLICATED DAWNING OF THE AGE

EYE ON THE SKY: MERCURY IN AQUARIUS FEB. 14-MARCH 2.

Mercury moves into Aquarius on Wednesday February 14th, and is weak in degrees for a day on Feb. 14th on the day ruled by Mercury  creating more nervousness, worry, out-of-step thinking or being stuck in small details. The transit this month a bit afflicted as Mercury gets hit by Saturn in aspect on February 21th  and a partial eclipse of the Sun on Feb. 15th.  As Mercury moves farther away from Saturn, it will increase in power.  It also gets squared by  Mars in Scorpio on Feb. 28th and gets a trinal aspect from Jupiter into March 2nd.   It also benefits from being in the same sign with Venus...

VEDIC HOLIDAY: FEB. 13TH US: MAHA SHIVARATRI

FOCUS ON VEDIC HOLIDAYS: Maha Shivaratri – Overcoming Darkness and Ignorance

Maha Shivaratri is the most auspicious day of the entire year to worship Lord
Shiva and receive his most compassionate grace. On this day, Lord Shiva’s
complete grace showers down upon the entire Earth. While the Western
communities may have difficulty relating to Vedic deities, they are largely
symbolic.

Shiva, always painted blue, represents the unbounded transcendental value of
the Divine that is experienced in the deepest point of meditation when there is
only unbounded awareness. Hence, this holiday is embraced with the notion of
merging into the Divine in total Unity. It is a major festival in Vedic culture and is a
very solemn holiday that marks a remembrance of “overcoming darkness and
ignorance” in life a...

Mars into Jyestha (Scorpio 16.40-29.59): EGO OR SELFLESS SERVICE

MARS IN JYESTHA:

Mars will transit into the  constellation on Tuesday  and will be there until  March 7th. In modern astronomy Jyestha is know as Alpha-Scopionis (Antares) and Sigma Scorpionis and Tau-Scorpionis located from 16.40 Scorpio to 30.00 Scorpio. Antares at 16 degrees is a constellation very connected to war  and Israel’s bombing of  Syria is likely to get worse.

Prash Trivedi notes that Jyestha means “eldest.” Its symbol is a round talisman which is a symbol of divine protection and this round circle represents authority and is connected to a kind of metal for one who has many past lives connected to occult practices and penance.

The deity of this constellation is Indra, king of the gods and is connected to rain and the abundance it brings in agricultural wealth...

PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE ON THURSDAY FEB. 15TH at 4 AQUARIUS

PARTIAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN
February 15, 2018
4 DEGREES AQUARIUS

  Peak Time 20:51 GMT

Begins 18:55 GMT; Ends 22:47 GMT

It is visible in Chile, Argentina, southern Brazil, Uruguay, Falkland Islands, Antarctica.

Eclipses are good for meditation and that is the best way to spend time during an eclipse as the meditations can be deeper. Outwardly the emotions and mind get a bit frazzled so never a good time to make major decisions during an eclipse. I usually do laundry or clean or meditate to pass the time.  Digestion can be affected so doing a fast 2-3 hours before and after helps avoid digestion problems.  This is particularly true of Solar eclipses with the Sun so connected to the solar plexus and the stomach.

If you are Leo rising or Aquarius  rising, you will notice the impact most...
